Event: "The Keatts Family 5K": a Fun-Run/Walk Fundraiser
Thank you for signing up for our Home-Grown Event to help the Keatts Family to raise money to bring Carter Home!
If You are an Avid Racer—you may find our humble race to be a unique experience. This is a grassroots, home-grown, family-run fundraiser—so what we lack in sponsorship and swag we will more than make up for in a spirit of Joy, Love, and Thankfulness. My sincere hope is that everyone who shows up on Race Day will feel the incredible Love of this family and how grateful we all are that you are sharing your morning, your finances, and your support with us! This will hopefully be a fun morning at the park for you with a scenic walk, jog, or run around Medical Lake.
Race Day Schedule and Instructions:
Parking: Free Athlete and spectator parking is available at Waterfront Park and should be more than sufficient for our event. On-street parking is also available.
Registration: Please arrive to Waterfront Park no earlier than 8:30am. Registration Table will open at 8:30. All participants will be assigned a number and given a race day bib. Those who signed up by April 7 and identified their T-Shirt size will receive their shirt at that time.
The Run/Walk will begin at 9:15. Please be in place at our starting line at that time. The 5K route is one lap around Medical Lake and through the surrounding neighborhood and will be marked for your convenience.
As this is a Fundraiser First and a Race Event Secondly, this will not be an event that is officially timed or chipped. A race timer will be on display to show you your finish time as you cross the finish line if you wish to track your time.
Water and snacks will be provided upon completion of the race, and the Keatts Family will be at the finish line to provide high fives and personal thank yous to all of our participants. Water will also be provided at the half-way mark of the race.
