CityHouse River Run 5K - Run For A Reason

CityHouse is a long-term program that offers safe and affordable housing, wrap-around services, daily mentoring, educational opportunities, mental health support, and skill-building opportunities for single mothers and their children experiencing homelessness in Palm Beach County, Florida. CityHouse focuses on empowering our mothers to live healthier lives through education, community, and career development while offering a holistic approach to each family's multifaceted needs. 

The organization currently has 14 mothers and 24 children in the Residential program, 7 mothers and 10 children in the Community care program, and 25 mothers and 37 kids in the Alumni Care program. Since 2014, CityHouse has served over 100 clients in Palm Beach County as they continue to break the cycle of homelessness and prevent children from entering the foster care system.

Free Kid's Fun Run

Timing will be recorded by Accuchip Race Timing.  The runners will be chip timed and will be on your racing bib.  All runners must cross the start and finish mat with their chip properly attached to their clothing to score in the race.  Awards will be given based on chip timing.  

Doors Open: 6:00 AM
Race Starts: 7:30 AM
The race starts and finishes at Spanish River Church.

Participants can park in the north and west parking lots of Spanish River Church.  Parking volunteers will direct you to the appropriate parking areas.  NOTE: The St. Andrews entrance will close shortly after 7am as we get ready for the race. 

Food will be served to participants following the race and there will be an award ceremony for the top three finishers in each age category. All after race activities and sponsor displays will be outside. Raffle prizes will be given after the race. 

Clarifying The Need

We are looking for volunteers who can help with the following areas:

• Crossing guards along the course at community entrances (6:30-8:30 AM)

• Cheering runners on the race course 

• Giving directions at the directional posts

• Help with post-race cleanup

• Help at registration tables (6:30-8:30 AM)

• Help at food service tables (6:30-8:30 AM)

• Help at water tables (6:30-8:30 AM)
