Bradenton Area Conquistador 3rd Annual Half Marathon and 5K (Draft)

Regrettably due to a number of contributing factors, it is with sincere sadness that I announce the cancellation of the 2018 Hernando De Soto ½ Marathon and 5K scheduled to be ran on December 15, 2018 in Manatee County.

Today is a hard day and I am truly sad for all the runners who have trained hard for this event, our committee members who have dedicated numerous hours and community who looked forward to this race. A number of situations have occurred which left us no alternative but to cancel this event. This is not a decision that was made lightly and I know that many of our current entrants will be upset with this decision, however, at this point, it would be irresponsible to continue with this event, this year.
Refunds to all racers who had not cancelled or had outstanding balances will be completed within 30-business days.

Half Marathon to begin in beautiful DT Bradenton at 7:00am followed by an after party until 12pm. All participants will receive a weather tech shirt, finisher medal, goodie bag and entry into the Post-Race Beer Garden (21 & over only).  Awards 3 deep in each category PLUS top 10% will receive a special ribbon with their finisher's medal.  Lots of door prizes!! 

5K starts at 7:30am in DT Bradenton and will also be followed by the after party till 12pm. All participants will receive a weather tech shirt and a race goodie bag and entrance into the party tent. Awards three deep in each category.
