Families and lovers alike will have a blast with this Valentine’s Day 5K at Honeymoon Island on Sunday, February 14, 2016, as Friends Of The Island Parks along with Random Acts of Flowers Presents this one of kind 5K family friendly run at 8:55 a.m. inside Honeymoon Island with awards brunch at Cricketers on the Causeway

It all takes place on one of the world’s most beautiful islands beginning and ending in the north Oasis lot which recently underwent a multi million dollar beach renovation project so the view is one of the best in the world for this morning run that will bond every love affair in your life! With photo ops from the beach that will set the tone for a perfect Valentines Day

The 5K begins at 8:55 a.m. ALL REGISTERED FINISHERS receive the large 5 inch HONEYMOON Island heart shaped finisher’s medal that will be the best gift you could ever give yourself or a loved one for a heart healthy Valentine’s Day. The medal is included in each registration price. Then join us at 10:15 a.m. at Cricketers on Dunedin Causeway we will announce all special category winners, Mom’s will get a free Mimosa (or non alcoholic beverage), Males will get a MANMOSA (which is a mimosa in a pint glass) and kids will all get a warm hot chocolate.

We will announce the following special categories each which are special purchase and a 100% donation to Random Acts Of Flowers Dunedin Chapter.

$25 It’s a special occasion bouquet

$50 I have a special announcement or group I want to recognize with this donation and largest bouquet

$250 (directly to the Island) I want to renew my vows or marry my partner! Conducted by Official Notary and Park Director Peter Krulder on the Beach at 9:30 a.m.

Cricketers will be open at 10 am for the  party to begin with a full menu available in which runners can order from at their expense (best Irish menu EVER :).  We hope you will join us for this special day in Dunedin in our heart healthy Valentine’s Day Run. Children under the age of 12 are ALWAYS free of course but only those with a bib number (a $20 value) will receive the large finisher’s medal)
