About the race:
Kids First of Florida and PRS Racing will kick off our first 5K Run/Walk on May 9, 2015 in Fleming Island. Along with the Run/Walk we will also have a 1 mile Free Fun Run for children age 11 and under.
Kids First of Florida (KFF) is the Community Based Care lead agency working with Clay County families at risk of abuse and neglect and those who are already dealing with issues of abuse and neglect. We provide education, prevention, preservation, foster care, and adoption services. Family focused and strength based, we believe every child deserves a safe loving home. Our team is committed to building a healthier community one family at a time.
We are asking you to support the Fostering the Finish 5K Run by becoming a sponsor of the event. Sponsorships are available at many levels, and all of our generous sponsors will be recognized in the event materials. Please see our options on the enclosed sponsor form.
We welcome you to join us as a runner or walker. There will be an early registration fee of $25.00 per person or a Family Special of $60.00 (2 adults and 1 or more children 17 and under). We will also be raffling a cruise for two leaving out of Jacksonville to a one lucky winner. Everyone who registers gets a chance in the raffle. The earlier you register the more entries you receive.

Registration Costs
All online registration fees are included in the amounts below
5K RUN
SPECIAL PRICING of $17.00 for those 13 years old and under and those 65 years or older for the duration of registration.
$25.00 for early bird registration from Feb 7 – March 25, 2015
$35.00 for registration between March 26 – May 8 at 3:00pm
$45.00 Day of Race - Cash or Check Only
1 MILE FUN RUN
FREE to all participants 11 years old or younger.
SPECIAL PRICING of $7.00 for those 12 to 13 years old and under and those 65 years or older for the duration of registration.
$15.00 for early bird registration from Feb 7 – March 25, 2015

Race Awards
Awards will be given to the top three males and females in the following categories,
Top 3 Male & Female Overall Finishers
Top Male & Female Masters (Over 40) Finisher
Top Three finishers in each of the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over.
Race Amenities & Cruise Raffle
Runners will receive a custom shirt and a goodie bag.
All registered runners will be entered into a raffle to win a cruise to the Bahamas as follows:
- Register three months before the race and receive three entries in the raffle
- Register two months before the race and receive three entries in the raffle
- Register one month before the race and receive one entry in the raffle

Event Schedule
90 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race - Bib, Chip, and Packet Pickup at Island Life Grill
90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race - Day of Race Registration Open at Island Life Grill
30 minutes after last finisher - Awards Ceremony at Island Life Grill
8:30 am - Fostering the Finish 5k takes place - Starting & Finishing at Island Life Grill
9:20 am - 1 mile Fun Run - Starting & Finishing at Island Life Grill
Packet Pickup & Race Instructions
Runners will pick up their bib and timing chip prior to the race at the check in area.
Post Race Activities
The race will finish at Island Life Grill where food and drink specials will be available for purchase while enjoying some tunes from a DJ. In addition, Island Life Grill will open their bathrooms pre and post race to all participants!

Chip Timing
The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race. Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line. Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
