Fools Day 5K

Fools Day 5k is a professionally-timed race for participants of all ages and abilities!

Put on a pair of novelty glasses (included with registration) and “Be a Blessing in Disguise” for the 56,924 households in St. Lucie County that earn less than what it costs to afford the basic necessities.

Join friends and neighbors to run, jog or walk through an unforgettable 3.1 mile course filled with silly string, chattering teeth and other fun surprises.

All participants will receive chip timing with live results, an individual results page with a finisher certificate and 20-second clip of you crossing the start and finish line, a race t-shirt and a finisher medal! Awards will be given out to the top 3 overall male & female finishers!

In addition to helping raise the crucial funds that fuel our mission, your participation will help shine a light on the dark and demoralizing cycle of poverty in St. Lucie County.

The goal of this community-based event is to raise funds and awareness for United Against Poverty of St. Lucie County, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and empowering people living in poverty to lift themselves and their families to economic self-sufficiency.

Timing

This race will be chip timed by Southern Timing, LLC. All participants will receive a chip time, live results, an individual results page complete with a finisher certificate and a 20-second clip of you crossing the start and finish line which can be downloaded and shared across social media!

About the Course

We will be starting and finishing in the Causeway Cove Marina located at 601 Seaway Dr. Fort Pierce, FL 34949. From there we will be running out of the marina and running over the Fort Pierce South Bridge on the sidewalk next to the eastbound lanes of traffic. Once over the bridge you will take a left onto another sidewalk, go under the bridge and join the sidewalk running next to the westbound lanes of traffic. Once you've crossed the bridge for a second time you will run along the water through the beautiful South Causeway Park back under the bridge and into Causeway Cove Marina where you will finish. Sailfish Brewing Company will be waiting for you to hand out your free beer!

In addition to chip timing all participants will receive one free beer from Sailfish Brewing Company post race, a race t-shirt, finisher medal, novelty glasses and a swag bag full of goodies from our sponsors!

Packet Pick-Up

Join us on March 25th at Sailfish Brewing Company from 3pm - 7pm for our pre-race packet pick-up! You can pick-up your packet or register in-person! Can't make it to packet pick-up? Don't worry! Race day packet pick-up & registration will open at 6:45am with the race starting at 8:00am.
