Description

DAY OF REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN AT 8:30 AM AT FIRST MAGNITUDE! ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID CROWDS!

Our annual 7.2k Springs Run returns this year on Saturday, January 12th. The race starts at 11:00 AM at First Magnitude and goes down the Hawthorne Trail. We’ll also offer a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 11:15 for those looking for something a little shorter. All profits will benefit the Florida Springs Institute. The Howard T. Odum Florida Springs Institute is an educational non-profit in High Springs dedicated to ensuring the wise management and restoration of Florida springs and the aquifer that we all depend upon for our water supply. Registration in the First Magnitude 7.2 Springs Run will benefit the Florida Springs Institute and its efforts to educate students about springs science.

All runners in the 7.2K will get a post-race First Magnitude beer! T-shirts are not included with registration but are available for an additional $10 donation to the Florida Springs Institute during registration! ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PREORDER UNTIL 1/1/2019.

Are you fast? Run for the mug! The top 3 finishers in each age and gender group will get their own First Magnitude mug with a beer fill (for winners under 21 years of age, you will just get the mug)

Age groups will be split by gender and are as follows: 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, and 65+.

Come join us and run for the springs!

Packet pick-up will be at Firsat Magnitude Brewing Company on Friday 1/11 from 4-8 PM or prior to the race. WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE EARLY PICK-UP TO AVOID CONGESTION!

Following the morning run, we will begin a day's worth of activities and live music! Artists and craft vendors like Curtis Whitwam, SwampCity Gallery Lounge, and Visionary FAM will be in the beer garden all day selling their wares and making things in real time!
The Florida Springs Institute will be showing some educational films during the day, and WaterVentures Florida's Learning Lab will be set up for kids and adults alike to learn more about one of our most precious resources!
The outdoor stage will be alive with great music all day, so come ready to relax under the oaks. Enjoy local acts Kittens in Spaceships and The Funky Miracle alongside some down home tunes from The Pine Box Dwellers and closing the night with a performance by Honey Hounds!
If you didn't run the race, you can still help us support the Florida Springs Institute with a $10 donation at the door that will get you discounts on your beer and at each of the artist's booths!
Humble Wood Fire, Mayflower Cellars, LEJ Pretzel Company, and Halo Potato Donuts will be on hand to serve you all day!

Where to Park

Things will be crowded, so carpooling, biking, or ride sharing are strongly encouraged! Access to the front lot from Veitch Street will be closed prior to and during the race. Overflow parking is also available across Main Street at Winn Dixie!
SE 10th Ave and SE 13th Rd are both open for through traffic - do not try to come through the Continental Imports before the race!
