Riverside Fine Arts Association - 2nd Annual Run For The Arts 5k

Post race activities will take place at the Bold City Brewery including the following:

• Awards Presention ~ Awards will be etched beer mugs

  DJ with live music 

  Food for purchase from Bold City

  Beer from Bold City (one free beer to each participant)

5k Registration fees are listed below.   The below do not include an online transaction fee of +/- $3.00.

• Before May 31:  $25.00

  June 1 – September 11: $30.00

  September 11 – September 25:  $35.00 (Online registration ends at 4pm on 9/25)

  Race Day:  $40.00 - Cash or Check Only At Race

1 Mile Fun Run is $10.00 at all times.   The below do not include an online transaction fee of +/- $3.00.

Awards will be presented in the 5k as follows:

• Top three overall male and female finishers

  Top masters male and female

  Top three male and female finishers in each age group (0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)

• Etched beer mugs will be awarded

• All Fun Run participants will receive medals as they finish the run at the finish line.

Funds from this event will help support RFAA’s mission to provide the community with musical presentations featuring diverse artists of national and international acclaim. Funds also enable outreach to Jacksonville area youth through the Project Listen program.

All participants will receive a shirt and one free beverage from Bold City

New this year to the 5k race will be a team competion.   There is no additional cost to participate in the team competition for those registered in the race.   Sign up a team or join an existing team for a fun way to run with race with friends.    A team must have three members to count in the standings.   There is a maximum of five members on each team with the fastest three times counting.  The fastest team will win a special award.  There are no gender restrictions on teams and all will compete against each other.

To create a team, click the Create or Join Team button during registration and set up your team name there.

To join a team somone else has already created, click the Create or Join Team button during registration and select the team name that you would like to join.

The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system.   Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup.   All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race.  Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line.   Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30. 

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
