Run for Heroes 3 Mile and Fun Run benefiting UF Health TraumaOne

Race Location - Unity Plaza - 220 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida

Fun Run Start Time - 9:00am

All online registration fees are included in the amounts below:

SPECIAL PRICING of $20.00 for those 13 years old and under, college students 18-22, and those 65 years or older is available through May 26th.   This pricing will not be available on race day.

$25.00 for early bird registration through May 15th. 

$35.00 for registration between May 16th – May 26th at 3:00pm

There will not be registration available during packet pickup on May 27th

$40.00 Day of Race - May 28th - at Unilty Plaza Only - 6:30am to 7:45am  - Cash or Check Preferred.  

NOTE - THE 5K RUN WILL BE CAPPED AT 450 REGISTRATIONS.  ONCE REACHED THE RACE WILL BE CLOSED

Fun Run registration is $15.00 at all times.  Registration is open through May 26th at 3:00pm and again from 6:30am to 8:45am on race day at Unity Plaza.

NOTE - THE FUN RUN WILL BE CAPPED AT 50 REGISTRATIONS.  ONCE REACHED THE RACE WILL BE CLOSED

5k Run Amenities

Runners participating in the 5k run will receive a custom shirt and a goodie bag.

Fun Run Amenities

Runners participating in the Fun Run will receive a medal and cold treat

Medals

Medals will be given to the top three males and females in the following categories

Overall

Men - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Women - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place

Masters (40 & Over)

Men - 1st Place Masters, 2nd Place Masters, 3rd Place Masters
Women - 1st Place Masters, 2nd Place Masters, 3rd Place Masters

Age Groups

Age group awards will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups:  0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65 Plus

Runners will only receive one award:  overall or an age group award.  Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted.  Awards must be claimed at the awards ceremony.   

Hats

Special limited addition hats will be presented to the Top 10% of overall finishers regardless of gender in addition to any medal award above.

The race starts and finishes at Unity Plaza 220 Riverside Ave with a route through Riverside.

Friday, May 27th - Pre Race Packet Pickup

Training For Warriors - 1514 Nira Street

Pre-race packet pickup is available on Friday, May 27th, at Training For Warriors, 1514 Nira Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32207, from 11:00am to 1:00pm and from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.   Runners may pick up their race packets, bibs, and timing chips on the 27th and will not need to pick anything up on race day. 

Training for Warriors will hold two special training sessions for Run for Heroes participants at 1:00pm and again at 4:00pm.   Each workout will cost $15.00, payable at the workout location, and all proceeds will benefit UF Health TramuaOne.   The cost of the workouts are not included in the race registration fees.

Saturday, May 28th - Day of Race Packet Pickup & Schedule

Unity Plaza - 220 Riverside Avenue

6:30am to 7:45am - Bib, Chip, and Packet Pickup

6:30am to 7:30am - Day of Race Registration Open

8:00am - Run for Heroes 5km Race

9:00am - Run for Heroes Fun Run

9:20am - 5km Awards Ceremony

Participants may pick up their race packets and bibs with their timing chips attached to the bib on Friday, May 27th before the race or the morning of the race at the times listed.   Once the bibs are picked up no additional items are needed, however anyone picking up their packets prior to the race must bring their bib to the race as the timing chip is attached.   BIBS WILL NOT BE RE-ISSUED OR REPLACED IF LOST OR DAMAGED.   Do not fold or bend the race bib as the timing chip will not work.

Runners may also pick up their race packets, bibs, and timing chip prior to the race at the check in area from 6:30am to 7:45am on Saturday, May 28th at Unity Plaza.

All runners will receive a race bib with a timing chip attached.   Do not lose or damage the bib as they will NOT be replaced.  Bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt or pants and may not be folded or cut.   Do not shove the bib in a pocket, wear it under a shirt, or wear it on the back as they will not read and your time will not be recorded.

The bibs do not have to be returned.

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.

Parking will be available at the Florida Blue parking lot on the south side of Riverside Avenue directly south across the street from Unity Plaza (220 Riverside Ave).   In addition, parking will be available in both the Magnolia Street Parking Lot north of Unity Plaza and the gravel lot between Unity Plaza and Jackson Street.

Participants should NOT park in the garage or Corner Bakery lot.
