2nd annual Color Me Healthy 5K Run/Walk

RACE
This gorgeous exclusive course is the delight of runners, because it is designed with them in mind. Start at the beautiful private Jack Mahon Park, owned by sponsor Suntree Master Homeowners Association. Meander down Spyglass Hill Road and through private custom-home communities lushly landscaped as sponsoring homeowners trade high-fives with runners. Cross into Viera and explore private roads that border lakefront preserves loaded with wildlife, and return to the start for the finish. 

AMENITIES
Your race entry includes three tickets to a drawing for a free helicopter tour for up to three persons over the St. John's River, Indian River Lagoon, the beaches and back, all captured by Go-Pro camera for your social media memento. Bring family and friends to cheer you on and they get two entry tickets each. Members of the public get one ticket each.

Attendees will enjoy great refreshments, games, music, interactive learning exhibits, and lots more until 10:30 a.m.

PACKET PICK UP
Packet pick-up is Friday, Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the offices of Viera Voice and Senior Life newspapers, 7630 N. Wickham Road in Suntree/Viera, between Carrabba's and Dairy Queen, a mile east of I-95 Exit 191 on the north side of Wickham.

9 am – Free Kids Fun Run 12 and under

SHIRTS
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment process by Dec. 27 are guaranteed a free race shirt.

Top Female and Male Masters (40+)
Top 3 male and female age groups will receive awards. Age groups include 13 & under, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over

PLEDGES
Ask friends and family to pledge donations for you to run in the race and touch more lives! Pledge donations go directly to the three YMCAs in Brevard County to sponsor memberships for children and youth whose families cannot afford them to attend, turning a negative into a community positive! You can change life with your running feet!

PARKING
Parking is along Spyglass Hill Road across from the start/finish, all free and convenient.

TIMING & SCORING
This is a chip timed event where all participants receive a chip that is attached to the back of the bib. It's very important that you wear your bib.

How long is the course?             
5K is 3.1 miles

How will I be timed? 
There will be a clock and all participants will have a chip attached to the back of the bib number. There will also be a clock at the finish line to view your time.  

Can I participate in the event with my dog? 
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.

I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. As the race brochure states, we are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks. 

Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.   

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.
