Description
We invite you to participate in the Mexico Beach SUP Classic!
We offer 2 races in 2018; May 19 and September 22. Both days offer categories for all levels. As long as you enjoy stand up paddle boarding, want to have some fun, meet some great people and be part of something exciting, we have an event for you!
JUST FOR FUN category - 2K (1.2 mile)
WEEKEND WARRIOR category - 5K (3.1 mile)
ELITE category - 6K (6.2 mile)
Winners will be awarded in these divisions: - boards 12'6" and under, - boards 14'0"
awards for male and female winners under 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
All finishers will receive a finisher medal!
We will also attempt a SUP World Record! You don't have to race to participate. Everyone is welcome! Don't have a board? No problem, reserve a rental board at BareFootKayaking - a local rental company and event sponsor and supporter!Our goal is to beat the Guinness World Record for the most surfboards laid end to end on a beach. We need to have at least 609 paddle boards lined up on the beach! Join us and be part of it! 608 boards is the current record.Get more details on how to be there here.
