2nd Annual Santa's Reindeers Run

We're back!  And we're making this event even better than last year's!  This race will be certified and timed with timing chips (elements that were not part of the 2017 race).  We're having more music along the course; hot refreshments for a chilly morning; newer updated medal!

The City of New Port Richey in Florida has a secret. 7.5 miles of paved trails, which is perfect for running a 5k and 10k.
What's a better way to celebrate the holiday spirit than by running a Christmas themed 5k and 10k at NPR's Starkey Park?

The entire family can enjoy this event that includes fun holiday music along the course and incredible scenery. Choose from either a 5k walk/run or a 10k run.

This course utilizes the Starkey Park Bike Trail, a 7.5-mile trail that winds through the park offering scenic views of Florida wildlife.

What do I get?

Every finisher will earn a medal, a holiday-themed performance shirt, and access to some festive chorus music provided by the local New Port Richey Steel Drum Band.  Hungry after the race?  Choose from several local food trucks!

  • Free Santa hats to wear as you're running!
  • Awards ceremony directly after the race.
  • Live music by local performers (Steel Drum Band!).
  • Free access to race photos.
  • Food for purchase from local food truck.

Age Group Awards?

Yes! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the following categories will receive an additional medal!

  • Young Athletes (10-14)
  • Inspiring Athletes (15-19)
  • Warriors (20-26)
  • Hard Chargers (27-34)
  • The Motivators (35-49)

Military Discount Available

We support our military service members, and we want to give back.

If you're a military service member, reservist, or a veteran of the U.S. military, you get a 15% discount on your registration.  To qualify for this discount, you'll be required to show your active duty military ID card or DD-214 to the volunteers at the registration tent.  Without these documents, you will be banned from future NeoEndurance races.

Use the promo code MILITARY15 at checkout.

The City of New Port Richey and Pasco County have REMOVED the park fee requirement.  We previously stated the need to display a parking pass on your dashboard. This is no longer required!

There is plenty of parking at Jay B. Starkey Park.  Please look for the volunteers and follow the signs!  Parking on the grass, or anywhere outside of authorized areas is strictly prohibited!  The City of New Port Richey cares about the environmental protection of all wildlife, and so do we. Please abide by their rules.  Carpooling is encouraged.

Course Map

This course will utilize the Starkey Park Bike Trail.  This is an out-and-back course.  Once the runners reach their designated water stations, they will turn around and head back to the Start/Finish line.

This is a rain or shine event.  We don't anticipate a drastic change in temperature.  It is, after-all, the "Sunshine State".  However, in the unusual circumstance that this event is cancelled due to extreme weather (hurricane or heavy unrelenting downpour), there will be NO REFUND!

In the event of lightening in the area, we will postpone the event by an hour, possibly longer, or until the "all-clear" is given by park and race officials.
