Nurses 5k

The Nurses 5K will be held Sunday, May 5 and kicks off our annual celebration recognizing our nursing heroes during Nurses Week May 6 through May 12 and creates a family friendly activity for the community.This course will be flat and you will  travel through the AdventHealth Fish Memorial campus and Orange City.

National Nurses Week begins on May 6, Nurse Recognition Day, and lasts until May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who founded nursing as a modern profession. Nurses Week is an annual celebration that brings attention to nurses who save lives and improve the health of millions of individuals on a daily basis.

The Nurses run/walk 5K was developed by AdventHealth Fish Memorial’s emergency department and is now being led by the West Volusia Market ED Managers Marnie Harris (Fish) and Matt Forester (Deland) to encourage nurses to lead a healthy lifestyle.

CHIP TIMING
All participants will be chip timed.
