Description
The Zarzaur Law Maritime De Luna Du Youth Duathlon is held annually in the month of March. The event will be on SUNDAY March 17th, 2024. This race has over 200 youth from ages 6-15 years old;
The event is held at the Vince J. Whibbs, Sr. Community Maritime Park in Pensacola, Florida. The event features a full duathlon experience for children from 6 to 15 years old while friends and family cheer them on. With a fully supported event on a closed course, safety and encouragement from volunteers complement the excitement of children becoming multisport athletes.
This is a fully timed event and each athlete receives a custom medal and t-shirt for completing the race. Custom age group awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group.
Race Distances
A youth athlete races according to "USAT age." This means that they will race the age they will be as of DECEMBER 31, 2024. For example, if your child is 9 years old and they turn 10 on November 3rd, 2024 (after the race) they will race as a ten year old.
Race Venue & Courses
We will be conducting 2 races simultaneously - LONG DISTANCE (Ages 10-15 years old) and SHORT COURSE (Ages 6-9 years old)
The race venue is at the Community Maritime Park located 301 Wes Main Street, Pensacola, FL 32502. The transition and entire race venue is in located at the open field which is on the WEST side of the stadium. There is ample parking at the Community Maritime Park. If you or fellow cheerleaders need to leave race early we encourage you to park on north side of Main Street. Main Street will be closed the entire duration of the BIKE segment until last athlete is off the road.
