Description

UPDATE: September 29, 2021

The course map will be emailed to all participants. A strava version of the half marathon will also be emailed to all participants early next week.  We do not use google maps for marking out our courses, as Babcock Ranch is still in the early stages of development, and some of the newer roads/trails have not yet been included in google or apple maps.

This race is to benefit Babcock Neighborhood School.  

Race packet pick up will be available as follows:

Thursday, October 14 & Friday, October 15 - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - 42911, Lake Babcock Drive, (HOA office) Babcock Ranch, FL 33982

Saturday, October 16 - 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Founder's Square, Shade Arbor B - 42850, Crescent Loop, Babcock Ranch, FL 33982.

Packet pick-up is available on race day too. 

Did anybody say FREE beer? One of our GOLD sponsors - Riverside Family Eye Care of Fort Myers will be giving all finishers a FREE beer.

Wristbands will be included in the SWAG bags.  Post-race food provided by Publix.

The awards ceremony will take place under The Bandshell in FOunder's Square after all race results are in!

1/2 Marathon start time: 6:30 a.m.

5K start time: 8:00 a.m.

Cost:

Half Marathon: $50 until 9/01, $65 until 10/15;  - $70 on race day

5K; $20 until 1/10; $25 until 9/01; $30 until 10/15  - $35 on race day

*The race will be chip-timed, so your individual time will not start until you cross the starting line.

We ask that all participants wear face coverings in the registration/start/finish areas and maintain a 6-foot distance from all runners not in their household. It is up to you whether you wear one along the course. 

Bathrooms and Water Stations
will be available at the starting area. 

Parking
Parking is available near the starting area.

Awards for In-Person Race.

Age group awards are based off-chip time.

There will be overall awards:

Actual Awards: 1st & 2nd Place Overall Awards - Male & Female.

Certificate awards will be emailed to the top three M/F in the following age groups:1st & 2nd Place Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters. 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. 

Q: Is this a timed race? 
A: Yes. The Half and 5K are both chip-timed. 

Q: What is the course surface like?
A: Both courses are a mixture of asphalt, hard-packed shell, and mulch.

Q: Are dogs allowed on the course? 
A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. You must maintain proper social distancing and pick up after your pooch. 

Q: Are strollers allowed on the course? 
A: No. 

Q: Is the course good for spectators? 
A: Yes
