Joshua 1:9 Freedom 5K Run / Walk

Join us this year at an all new place and date. We are excited to announce that our run will be held at the beautiful, E.G. Simmons in Ruskin, FL on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at 7:30am. The park is near the water yet all paved 5K run/walk. We have a great race planned for you, so register early for the lowest pricing.

What it's all about:

The 6th Annual Joshua 1:9 Freedom 5K Run / Walk is being held to generate awareness and support for Christians who are persecuted every day – just for their faith. Our goal is to help raise awareness about the persecution of Christians in the Middle East and Africa. Last year we raised $5,700 from the run and 100% of the funds went directly to persecuted Christians living in refugee camps.In the spirit of this mission. Come run/walk with us on Saturday, January 26th at 7:30. 
Our mission is to help those who are persecuted for their Christian faith, especially in the Middle East and Africa. Proceeds for this year’s 5K are going to Persecuted Christian families and children who are homeless living in refugee camps in the Middle East. Most were displaced from Iraq and Syria over the past year. They are in desperate need of food, shelter, security, medical care, and our daily prayers.

What you can expect at the race:

Krispy Kreme Donuts for all at the race so be sure to bring your sweet tooth.

We are excited that Jaime from SpiritFM (90.5FM) will be onsite broadcasting from the run and playing some great tunes.

Everyone will receive a finisher medal and race t-shirt. Scenic 5K race course along Tampa Bay.

Top 3 Male and Female over-all winners will be awarded with Dicks Sporting Goods & Fit2Run gift cards and more. Age Group awards also!

Run virtually and we’ll send you your finishers medal and race day t-shirt to wear proudly! This is a great way to show your support for the Persecuted Church and impact the lives of others.

Packet pick up locations:

Wednesday,January 23th at International Plaza-Tampa, FL from 4pm until 7pm at Fit2Run Store

Thursday, January 24th at Orangetheory Fitness: 4pm until 7pm

Race Day Packet Pick up will start at Shelter #17 at E. G. Simmons Park (race location) from 6:30am until 7:10am

****Collection at the run — We will also be collecting the following items at the run — baby blankets, gloves, and hats to ship to moms and families in the refugee camps.
