Due to the Corona Virus outbreak, we have rescheduled the Palace Saloon 5K to October 9, 2021.
If you preregistered for the 2020 event, which was postponed by COVID-19, please review your options. We hope to see you on October 9th.
This a point-to-point race. While the finish line takes place at the Palace Saloon, parking, and the race start are at the James Messer Sports Complex,. Program your GPS to 2800 Jackson Bluff Rd. for the Start and for Public Parking (free) at Messer Field.
THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Race bibs and shirts that are preordered online are available for race day morning pickup beginning at 6:30 am at the start line location. Race starts PROMPTLY at 8:00 a.m. Plan accordingly.
Because there is no Race Day registration you must register online before midnight on Friday, October 8, or in person at the Wednesday packet pick-up.
Early, in-person registration/ early packet pickup will be at the Palace Saloon, 1303 Jackson Bluff Road, on Wednesday, October 6, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. At that time, you can register via paper registration, and pre-registered runners may pick up their race number and shirt (if ordered).
Be mindful that race shirts are ordered about 10 days in advance. We always order a few extra shirts for volunteers and last-minute runners, but register early to guarantee that your preferred shirt size will be available.
Race start and free parking is a Messer Field, corner of Jackson Bluff Rd. and Dupree St. Water/Gatorade at the start, at 1.2 miles, and at the finish. Finish line recovery food courtesy of Jackson Properties, and beverages courtesy of the Palace Saloon and Gulf Winds Track Club. Race results posted on site and uploaded to the Gulf Winds Track Club website post race. Award ceremony will begin around 9 - 9:15. Enjoy the morning!

Team registration deadline is Wednesday, October 6, at the close of early packet pick-up. Ideally, this needs to be the last opportunity to change a team roster….but we can be somewhat flexible with that deadline…with enough notice to enter the team into the database.
The other great benefit of running this local race is contributing to a couple of great charities. We are supporting the Parkinson's Foundation Rock Steady Boxing program and Javacya Arts Conservatory. Please donate generously.
The 46th Annual Palace Saloon 5K is sponsored by Gulf Winds Track Club, a completely non-profit, volunteer-led organization. All proceeds from the races support dozens of charitable organizations in our community.
