FAQ

Is this race really "free?"

Yes! There is no cost to participate in the event. If you have a good time and want to support us so we can hold future events, then please buy a T-shirt and medal at the event. But no purchase is required. We hope you come out and have a good time, and come back for many years to come!

How can I get a shirt and medal?

Since we are hosting a free event, we can't order the correct number of shirts/medals in advance. If you would like to buy a shirt and medal, you can see samples at the event and place an order if you like what you see. The shirt and medal will be mailed to you after the event.

The cost for each is as follows (purchase is NOT required):

T-Shirt - $25. You can choose the color and style (long sleeve, short sleeve, tank top, etc) with our awesome Fox logo!

Medal- $10. This medal is metal (see what we did there?) It will be a slick looking 3" medal and will feature our awesome Fox logo!

Or buy both for only $30 (that's a savings of $5!)

What about the coronavirus?

There will be 2 waves at this event. The Quarantine Wave will allow runners to participate with the tightest social distance and mask requirements possible at whatever time they want to start between 7:30am and 9:30 am. The Second Wave will look more like a traditional event with the least restrictive requirements possible and will begin at 9:30.

What is the course like?

The event is a 5k loop. There will likely be water crossings that are about knee deep. This is in addition to single track trails that may be rocky or muddy. While this won't be the most technical course on earth, it ain't a walk in the park! Runners may run the 5k more than once if they want a longer distance.

Are there age restrictions?

Nope. Anyone, young or old, that enjoys running in the woods should do so!

Are pets allowed?

Pets are NOT ALLOWED during the Quarantine Wave.

Pets ARE ALLOWED for the Second Wave, however they must be on leash and under control at all times. This includes the festival area as well as out on the course. There will be course marshals on horseback that may be startled by loose dogs. Also please be considerate that even though you love your dog, others may not.
