It's More Than Just A Run, You're Changing Lives!!

The Race will take place @ Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail, entrance on White Street on Sunday, April 5, 2020 / Registration 7:15 - 7:45AM / Race Time: 8:00AM

REPRESENT your favorite school, sorority, fraternity, church, organization... ANYONE! Join us in supporting the cause of giving scholarships, supplying students with the necessary tools for a successful school year, and supporting our local community schools!  

The Mary's Golden Heart Foundation's 1st Annual Youth Tools 4 School & Scholarships 5K Color Run/Walk is a family friendly event for our great community and will take place on the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail, entrance on White Street on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at 8:00am. Runners and walkers of all skill levels and ages are invited to come and enjoy this fun‐filled affair! 

This is our 1st of many annual races, we look forward to your help as we prepare to give out additional school supplies (tools) to help are youth and scholarships to seniors that will help them with their college journey! Please help us continue this movement and register today and also consider pledging your support as well.

FAQs

Q:  What is the final day for registration?

A: Final online registration is April 4, 2020.  You will be able to register onsite at 7:15 AM - 8:00 AM when you arrive at the park for $35.

Q: When will I receive my medal?

A: You will receive your official 5K Run/Walk medal on race day only.  Medals for virtual walkers/runners who register by March 30, 2020 will be mailed after the race.  

Q: How can I contribute more?

A: If you are registered you can pledge against yourself.  You can also pledge to a team or another individual participant.  If you're not able to attend, please consider donating to the foundation.

Q: Do I need to be present to receive my medal? 

A: Yes, due to the logistical challenge to coordinate individual medal distribution after the race, you must be present.

Q: Can someone else pick up my medal for me?

A: Yes, as long as they have a print out of your registration confirmation. If you cannot be present, please make arrangements.

Q. Can I register the day of the event?

A. Yes but, you might not receive a race shirt or medal.

Q. When can I pick up my 5K Run/Walk Bib Package?

A. The day of the race between 7:15 AM - 7:45AM during registration.

Q. What is a Color Run/Walk?

A. A race where at some point on the race journey you will be showered with non-toxic/non-harmful colorful powder... this is a great and fun experience. (Color will wash right out)

Q. What should I wear to a Color Run/Walk?

A. To get the must visual impact of the colors we suggest you wear white, bring shades, and a bandanna. We encourage fun and colorful Run/Walk Gear so that you and/or your Run Team can stand out!!! The more creative the better.

Q: Will there be free parking?

A: Yes there will be free parking. WE ENCOURAGE CARPOOLING!!! Limited parking is available so we strongly recommend carpooling, using public transportation or other services. There are several services such as Uber, Lyft, Cab or MARTA that can transport you to/from the race.

COURSE and TIMING

Registration: 7:15 - 7:45am  / Run/Walk Start: 8:00am

Run/Walk at your on speed the goal is to have fun and finish the race! The start and finish line will be filled with energy, music, and refreshments. 

After the run be sure to hang around for Fun After the Run where you will receive your metal and there will be even more fun and dancing for all to enjoy!

The race will take place rain or shine.

VIRTUAL RUNNERS/WALKERS

Can't make it to the race this year?  We welcome our supporters who can't be with us in person.  Sign up as a virtual runner and we will mail you your medal - you'll run with us in spirit and support the Mary's Golden Heart Foundation! Please note: you will receive your medal after the race.  Thank you for your support!

PLEDGE AND FUNDRAISING

Help us exceed our goals this year! 

You don't have to run to get involved! You can also DONATE to the cause or make a PLEDGE to a runner or a team and encourage your friends and family to run/walk. 

You can even PROMOTE this event if you decide not to Run/Walk. There are so many ways to help out with this great cause. Pick the ones that work best for you. But most importantly, get involved!

EVENT INFORMATION

We love teams!  You can create a new team or select from an existing team. MAKE SURE TO CHECK FOR AN EXISTING TEAM FIRST BEFORE CREATING A NEW TEAM!  When you set up a team, don't forget to personalize the page by adding an image and updating the donation goal for your team. Thank you.

There are several team challenges to participate in this year – top fundraising team, largest team, and best dressed team!   We are excited about seeing you dressed up in your favorite, craziest gear!

Race Day Registration and Bib Pickup will begin at 7:15 AM at the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail, White Street entrance (Next to CLOSEOUT EXPRESS 1320 White St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30310).  You will be able to register on race day. To ensure you receive your packet before the race starts, please register by the online registration close date.  If you register onsite, you will receive a bib, however we cannot guarantee you will receive a medal, t-shirt or be timed.

Race begins at 8:00 AM.

Kids Fun Run:  Children are welcome - register them for the Kids Fun Run!  Kids under 10 are free but, are welcome to purchase a shirt for $5.00.  Finishers will receive medals.

Medals: Must preregister to guarantee receipt.  Medals guaranteed to runners pre-register by March 30th. Day of race registrants will receive medals as long as supplies last.  Medals for virtual runners who pre-register by March 30th will be mailed out after the race.

T-Shirts:  Must preregister to guarantee receipt.  T-shirts guaranteed to runners pre-register by March 30th. Day of race registrants will receive t-shirts as long as supplies last.  

Awards Ceremony: Will follow the 5K.  Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers.

Color Station: This is a color run! There will be a color spray station, so wear your shades, bring a hand rag and lets get colorful. **All color powder is nontoxic and is the same color powder that is used in other color run/walks.

The Tools 4 Success Scholarship 5K is a Rain or Shine Event!
