Skidaway Island Rotary 5k

Your invited to the first annual Rotary of Skidaway Island 5k. Enjoy the mother's day weekend carnival after racing through around skidaway island State Park. The Run starts and end next to the library. You can park at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church and walk through the golf cart path near the back corner to get to the start line.  The course will run through Skidaway Island State Park trails, All runners and walkers are welcome. This is a trail run and it will be difficult for strollers to do the course, but you can try.

The run is being done in conjunction with the Rotary Family Fun Fest which is starting at 10AM as the run
ends and where the normal end of race water and snacks are available. The Family Fun Fest is where you
can stay and enjoy kids bouncy house, kids train ride, face painting, kids games, the Village Library book
sale, the LAA Art Sale, a plant sale by Hester & Zipperer, a car show and various vendor booths.

The Rotary Family Fun Fest starts at 11 AM. Registered 5K participants get a Rotary Hot Dog or
Bratwurst, Snacks (chips, cookies) and a Drink in the Rotary Family Fun Fest area of the Skidaway Island
Village starting around 11:00.

THE BENEFACTORS OF THE RACE WILL BE BOTH THE BOY SCOUTS AND ROTARY CLUB.
Boy Scout Troop 57 supports inner-city Boys Scouts and Performance Initiative’s Kids Cafe.
Rotary Club of Skidaway Island promotes Early Childhood Literacy, Youth Leadership and the END POLIO NOW
effort plus support for other local charities.
