Iron Giraffe Challenge

The Camden County Elementary Challenge students are spearheading a year-long fundraiser to build a well in South Sudan. They are hoping this philanthropic act will raise Global Awareness of a water problem in that part of Africa which affects many people.

They will be learning about Salva Dut who is one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, and how he went through great turmoil in his life. He was able to turn this negative experience into a great positive! He founded the charity, “Water for South Sudan” back in 2003.

Their mission is to deliver sustainable quality-of-life services to and with the people of South Sudan by efficiently providing access to clean, safe water, and improving hygiene and sanitation practices in areas of great need.

Please help us come together as one school system and reach our goal of providing the funds to build a well for the people in Sudan. The fundraiser is called “The Iron Giraffe Challenge”.

The well will cost $15,000 and will have “Donated by the Students of Camden County School District” on the platform. What a great legacy for our students to leave behind!
