Description
The race event benefits building and maintaining a recreational facility for children in Foster Care and at risk youth in Southeast Georgia. This will be the 3rd year to hold this run. The event is a cross country race that takes place ambling up and down hills on the former Smithfield Golf Course just off of Highway 46 near Statesboro, GA. In addition to the 5k Run/Walk, there will be a 1 Mile Fun Run along with inflatable jumps and some door prizes. The 5K will start at 8:00 A.M. and the 1 Mile Fun run will take place at 8:45 A.M. and the awards ceremony will begin around 9:00A.M.
Early packet pick up will be on race day as well as on the day before. On sight packet pickup will be on Friday May 18th from 4:00 P.M. til 6:30 P.M. and also on Saturday May 19th 7:00 A.M. til 7:45 A.M.
Trophies & awards will be given out to winners in the 5K event in several different age groups.
In order to be guaranteed a T-Shirt, participants must be signed up by May 6, 2018.
Online registration will close here on Friday May 18th at 2:30 P.M. However you will be able to register on site day of race between 7:00 A.M. & 7:45 A,M.
