Content Creation and Content Ideas

Here are some more content ideas and resources for your campaign:

  • Canva-- Canva.com is a free graphic design site for beginners. It comes with free templates, images, and other drag-and-drop items that make it really easy to create beautiful designs for social media posts, for your website, or for other Giving Tuesday collateral.
  • GivingTuesday.org--Giving Tuesday has its own site that has plenty of ideas and resources, including a downloadable Giving Tuesday communications kit with Giving Tuesday logos, messaging, and branding that you can put on your own graphics or communications.
  • Bingo board-- You can use Canva or another site to design a bingo board for social media. These are a great way to engage supporters and are super easy to customize for your nonprofit. You'll come up with a list of activities or items that are related to your nonprofit and post it to Facebook, challenging supporters to see if they have "*Your Nonprofit* Bingo"! Examples of bingo square items will vary based on the nonprofit, but examples could be "Volunteered at least twice during 2020," "Have adopted at least one pet from this shelter," "Have attended X Gala," and so on. Here's an example of one for a YMCA:

  • Logos -- You can create a special logo for your nonprofit that reflects your Giving Tuesday branding.

  • Ambassador program-- You can come up with a Giving Tuesday ambassador program for your board or avid supporters, who might be willing to post on their social media about you in the weeks leading up to Giving Tuesday, or to directly invite their friends to donate. If you have a local influencer of some kind who is invested in your mission, you could ask them to participate. Offer swag or another incentive to ambassadors.
  • Video-- Creating a short (1-2 minute) video to share on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube is a great way to share your nonprofit's Giving Tuesday messaging. You can also embed this on a GiveSignup | RunSignup cover page or custom section.
