Email is still a vital way to reach supporters. Whether you are using MailChimp, Constant Contact, GiveSignup | RunSignup's free email marketing, or another email platform, it is essential to figure out a plan for automating emails and creating a list of supporters that you can reach leading up to Giving Tuesday.
Around a month out, you can start sending emails about Giving Tuesday, or you could opt to include the info in your monthly newsletter. As Giving Tuesday approaches, increase the frequency of your Giving Tuesday emails. It's important to include specific and meaningful content (like case studies, testimonials, and interviews with board members or beneficiaries) in these emails along with a clear call-to-action (Donate Now or Become a Fundraiser). If your supporters are interested in reading your emails, they will be interested in donating, too. You don't have to write a novel, either--including graphics with fast facts, images, and other unique content also goes a long way.
