When & where is the 2018 Goody Goody Turkey Gobble?
The 4th Annual Goody Goody Turkey Gobble, Tampa’s Thanksgiving Day 8K, 5K & 1 Mile Walk will take place on Thurs., Nov. 22, 2018. The start/finish is in front of Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa 33602

What is the race day timeline?
5:30 am Plaza at Amalie Arena opens
             To ensure a mandatory on-time race start, race day registration & bib pick up will NOT be available.
6:30 am 5K & 8k Corral Staging
             Participants with baby joggers/strollers or pets will line up in designated corrals
7:00 am 5k & 8K Races Begin—staggered start times for runners & walkers will be announced!
7:15 am 1 Mile Walk Begins
8:00 am Announcements & Awards

What is the price of the race and is it timed?
The 5K and 8K events are chip timed, the 1-mile event is not chip timed.
5K: $25 until midnight 6/30/18; $30 7/1/18 – 10/31/18; $35 11/1/18 until midnight 11/20/18*
8K: $30 until midnight 6/30/18; $35 7/1/18 to 10/31/18; $40 11/1/18 until midnight 11/20/18*
1-mile walk/run - $15 until midnight 11/20/18*
*Registration will be available at the on-site kiosk during bib pick up from 11 am - 5 pm on 11/21/18

What is included in the participant registration price?
Chip timed numbered bib (8K & 5K); non-chip timed bib (1 mile)
Dri-fit unisex shirt—8K & 5K only—guaranteed if registered by 11/12/18
NOTE: Shirts are not guaranteed if registering after 11/12/18
Finisher medal for ALL participants: 8K, 5K & 1 Mile!
Post-race Goody Goody breakfast (participants only—must wear race bib!)
The opportunity to create/continue a new Thanksgiving Day tradition with family/friends!

Are there Awards for the 8K & 5K?
Awards presented to Overall 1st place M/F and to Overall 1st place M/F youth (ages 9 & under)
1st place only M/F awards in the following age groups: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

How do I register for the 2018 Goody Goody Turkey Gobble?

When & Where is Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up?
All pre-race packet picks will be held at the Central City YMCA, 110 E. Palm Ave, Tampa 33602
Mon., Nov. 19, 2018 8 am – 2 pm
Tues., Nov. 20, 2018 1 pm – 7 pm
Wed., Nov. 21, 2018 11 am – 5 pm
To ensure an on-time race start, race day registration and bib pick up are not available!

Can I pick up someone else’s race bib or can someone pick up mine?
Yes! Please bring a copy of each person’s registration confirmation OR photo ID

Where do I park on race day, Thurs., Nov. 22, 2018?
Parking is available in the Fort Brooke ($1.60/hour) and South Regional ($5 event rate) Parking Garages. Limited street parking is available in the downtown Tampa area.

Is gear-check available race morning?
Gear check/hold is not available on race day.

Are bicycles, rollerblades, scooters, wheeled shoes or other wheeled transportation allowed in the race?
For safety reasons, except for participants pushing a baby stroller/jogger, no wheeled vehicles including but not limited to: scooters, rollerblades, rolling shoes and bicycles are allowed on the race course. Participants pushing a baby stroller/jogger will line up in a designated start corral.

Are dogs allowed at the race?
Yes, for safety reasons, dogs must be on a non-retractable leash not to exceed 6’. Owners must clean up after them and will line up in a designated start corral.

Do you need volunteers and how can they sign up?
YES, we always need volunteers! Sign up tasks & times are under the Volunteer tab on the race registration site at: https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/Tampa/GoodyGoodyTurkeyTrot

Where can I find 5K & 8K race results?
Results will be available on-site following the race and a link to results will be emailed to all valid email addresses post-race.

The free 12-week program offers people affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.
