This is a LIVE event that starts on Saturday 1/7/2023 at 6am for the solo runners. The run ends at 1pm 1/7/23. The teams start at 6:30 am. Solo runners should bring flashlights and reflective gear because the run starts in the dark.
Hilo to Volcano 50K ultra and team relay is a challenging 31 mile Run. The run starts at 6am from the Hilo Coconut Island parking lot for the solo runners and 6:30 am for the teams This course utilizes shoulders on Hwy 11 and finishes at the Cooper Center in Volcano.This is a challenging run from sea level to about 4000 ft. Team runners change runners every 2 miles at the even mile markers. There are no aid stations so runners need to bring their own water and nourishment.
VIRTUAL runners will have until 1/6/2023 to finish your run. Shirts and medals will be mailed out about 4 to 6 weeks after the event
