   • This family friendly evening event at the Philadelphia Zoo and will consist of a walk through the zoo where participants can enjoy the zoo, receive school supplies, and enter a raffle for a chance to win a one-year membership to the zoo.

   • Saturday, August 12, 2023
3. Where is this event?
   • This event will take place in-person at the Philadelphia Zoo, 3400 W Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
4. What time does this event start?
   • 6:00pm – 8:00pm: Arrive anytime between 6:00pm – 8:00pm to check into the event
   • 8:30pm: Doors close at 8:30pm, if you arrive after this time you will not be allowed to enter the event
   • 9:00pm: Event ends at 9:00pm, all guests must exit the zoo at this time

   • The best way to register for this event is online at https://runsignup.com/HPPPhillyZoo
   • Other options include registering over the phone at 215-967-4514, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. There is no on-site registration.
6. What does it cost to register for the event?
   • Free for Health Partners Plans members *if registering as an HPP member, you must bring and show your HPP Member ID card to the event for each registered HPP member
   • $20 for non-members
7. Do I need to bring my HPP Member ID card to the event?
   • If you are registering for the event as a Health Partners Plans member, you will need to bring and show your HPP Member ID card to the event for each registered HPP member
8. What do I need to bring to check in to the event?
   • All participants must have the QR code found in your confirmation email after registering for the event. You may display it on your phone or have a printed copy. Please have this ready to show at check in
9. Do I have to register my child for the event?
   • Yes, all children 2 years or older must be registered for the event.
10. What is included with my registration for this event?
    • Admission to the Philadelphia Zoo during the event, a snack voucher, a drawstring backpack, and school supplies *while supplies last
11. Will there be food and drinks provided at this event?
    • Yes, a $5 snack voucher will be provided per guest and can be used at any one food station located throughout the zoo during the event. Please note, that the total amount of the voucher can only be used at one time at one food station. The option to purchase more food beyond the $5 voucher is available at the guest’s expense. *while supplies last

    • Parking is free for all guests during this event in the Zoo Parking Garage
    • Street parking may also be found

    • Yes, the Philadelphia Zoo is wheelchair accessible
15. Is there a bag check to enter the Philadelphia Zoo?
    • Bags are allowed into the Philadelphia Zoo, but there is a bag screening process for everyone that enters. Each screening only takes a moment and involves a wand to screen guests, bags, strollers, briefcases, purses and containers. The following items are strictly prohibited:
      • Weapons/firearms or items that appear to be weapons, including toy guns
      • Knives/blades longer than 3.5 inches
      • Clubs, hammers, martial arts devices, and related items
      • Flammable liquids and gases greater than 0.5 oz
      • Fireworks, ammunitions, explosive devices, and related materials
      • Paint and related marking materials; spray cans and other aerosols
      • Other items deemed dangerous, suspicious, or inappropriate

    • There is no bag storage at the Philadelphia Zoo for this event.
17. Are strollers allowed in the Philadelphia Zoo?
    • Yes, strollers are welcome in the Philadelphia Zoo; the same bag check rules will apply to strollers.
18. Are pets allowed in the Philadelphia Zoo?
    • No pets or outside animals are allowed inside the Philadelphia Zoo
19. Is there a rain date for this event?
    • This is a rain or shine event. If there is chance of rain on the day of the event, rain ponchos will be provided for participants *while supplies last
20. What type of Covid-19 precautions can I expect at this in-person event?
    • The Philadelphia Zoo follows the City of Philadelphia’s most up to date requirements regarding Covid-19
    • There is no current mask requirement policy 
    • Social distancing is encouraged
    • Sanitation stations are located throughout the Philadelphia Zoo
    • First aid/EMT certified safety officers provided by the Philadelphia Zoo are available for entirety of the event
