New Date: New Date to be Determined
Due to unforeseen circumstances Coronavirus (Covid-19), the ITU have postponed all events until further notice. This event was to be held the night before the main ITU event to provide Children with an opportunity to participate with a finish on the "famous" blue carpet.
A new date will be determined and participants will be advised of the new date as appropriate.
Friday April 17th will see Front Street filled with crowds to cheer on local and visiting young athletes in the RenaissanceRe Kids Duathlon at 6.30pm. Aspiring young athletes will experience the famous ITU blue carpet finish. This is a FREE event.
Children from 7 to 15 years old are welcome to run and bike along Front Street, on part of the very same race course where the world’s top triathletes will compete the next day.
Age Groups: (age on December 31, 2020) 7 and 8 years 9 and 10 years 11 – 15 years
400m Run Course – WEST from No 1 car park to the junction of Par-La-Ville Road and back.
800m Run Course – WEST from No 1 car park to the junction of Woodbourne Avenue and back.
1.5km Bike Course – EAST from transition area to Seon Place (Longtails) turnaround and back.
400m run(1 lap of 400m course) 1.5km bike(1 lap) 400m run(1 lap of 400m course)
800m run(1 lap of 800m course) 1.5km bike(1 lap) 800m run(1 lap of 800 m course)
1.6km run(2 laps of 800 m course) 3km bike(2 laps) 1.6km run(2 lap of 800 m course)
Bring a bike, running shoes and be ready to have some fun! All participants must wear a helmet.
Be at the North Field of the National Sports Centre on Sundays at 10.00am on the following dates:
March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
April dates to be announced
