COVID-19 Safety Measures

Please be aware of the following COVID-19 guidelines in place for this event

Registration & Pre-Race Packet Pick Up:
  • Drive-up packet pick-up for in-person and virtual participants: Thursday, August 12 and Friday, August 13 from 4-6pm. Pick-up location will be near the race location and announced closer to the race date.
  • Register by July 31 so you can pick up your race packet on August 12 and 13.
  • Race day registration is allowed, but you will need to register on your personal device (ie: cell phone) to minimize contact.
In-Person Participation:
  • Participants who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks. Consistent with the CDC guidance, it is recommended that those who are not vaccinated continue to wear masks at this time.
  • Participants are asked to maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others who do not live in their household.
  • Due to improvements in COVID transmission rates, we will not implement wave starts and will hold the race start as usual. It is recommended that those who are not vaccinated wear their mask at the start and finish line, as well as during any pre- and post-event activities.
  • The in-person event will adhere to the required safety measures in place by the American Family Field, City of Milwaukee, and Wisconsin DNR.
  • In the event we have more registrants for the in-person event than local health authorities and the WI DNR allow on event day, we will base in-person eligibility on the date of registration. (For example, if the attendance is capped at 500, we will allow the first 500 who registered to participate in-person and those who did not make the cut-off will be informed their participation has been moved to virtual. There are currently no limits.)
  • Please watch your email leading up to the event for any last-minute COVID-19 related event changes.
Overall Health & Safety
  • The in-person event being planned puts top priority on participant’s health and safety and we will follow CDC and local health department guidelines.
  • If you are sick with COVID-19 symptoms and/or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the 14 days leading up to the event, we kindly ask that you please change your registration to "virtual" for this year, and participate virtually to protect those in attendance and limit the potential spread.

Please note: While we are planning the hybrid event to include both in-person and virtual participation,  we are closely monitoring American Family Field, Wisconsin WDNR, and City of Milwaukee requirements for public gatherings and may need to shift to an all-virtual event if the in-person version is not feasible. In this scenario, any participant who registered for the in-person will be automatically moved to the virtual platform. There are no refunds for the 2021 event.
