Description
Our first annual 5k run/walk will take place in Johnston, Iowa starting at the Johnston public library and will follow Merle Hay Road up to Camp Dodge. Check in and registration will be at 9:00 am near the Veteran's Memoriall in the green space of the library with the event starting at 9:30 am. This event is to honor Brandon Ketchum who served our country nearly all of his adult life. On July 8 2016, we lost Brandon after a battle with PTSD. This event is to raise awareness about veteran suicide, remember the ones we have lost and gain support and help for our veterans currently struggling. Whether you plan to run or walk or want to volunteer please come out and show your support!
Proceeds from this event will benefit organizations that work with veterans across the United States.
Strollers and kids are welcome, but we kindly ask that your furry friends stay home.
