Located in the Wood River Valley of central Idaho, Rinker Rock Creek Ranch embraces 10,400 acres of land in a series of succulent meadows surrounded by miles upon miles of good-quality rangeland below the shadow of the Smoky Mountains in Blaine County. Combined with surrounding 11,000 acres of Bureau of Land Management and more than 20,000 acres of the Big Wood River watershed.
The ranch is home to sage grouse, as well as moose, elk, deer, antelope and other critters.
Rinker Rock Creek Ranch is an outstanding backdrop for the 1st Annual Unega Mountain Dog Marathon and Half Marathon.
Added Bonus the entire race will be ran on dirt. No pavement, unparalleled views, wildlife, rolling hills.
This will be a challenging course! All race distances are out and back.
