Description
The 5K to Marathon Program gives youth the opportunity to complete a Marathon by tracking the miles run (or walked) in the weeks leading up to Family Day in the Park.
How does it work?
Kids track all the miles run or walked prior to the the race. Run at school, at home, with your church or scout group or by yourself. Just have an adult verify on your form the distance run or walked. - Log 23.1 miles prior to July 7, 2024 and you're on track!
All 5k to Marathon participants must be in Elementary or Middle School.
Students who recruit a parent or guardian to participate receive a half price entry!
1. If a student is participating alone, choose "5k to Marathon at Family Day in the Park" 2. If a parent or family member is running with the student, have that member register as "5k to Marathon Partner". 3. After the 5k to Marathon Partner has registered, choose "I Brought A Partner" and the 5k to Marathon Student receives a discounted registration
Finishers will receive a shirt, medal, swag and recognition at the event. A completed tracking form is required and is available for download at the bottom of the registration page.

Here you go! You're on your way to completing a marathon.
Just record your walk or run distances each day. You will be surprised how much stronger you feel and how much you improve your walks or runs, just by being consistent.
Add them up and when you get to 23.1 you are ready for 5k to Marathon in City Park on June 7th.
