Description
The Biathlon will proceed as follows:
A. 5 Kilometer Run (3.1 miles)
B. 29.2 kilometer Bike (17.5 miles)
The Biathlon will begin @ 8:30 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019.
The starting point will be at the Choate Mental Health Center in Anna, Illinois.
Sign-in will be held from 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. on the day of the race at Godner hall on the grounds of Choate MH & DC.
The Biathlon is open to the first 50 teams and 300 individuals age 16 and older.
Age Divisions
MEN, 16-21, 22-25, 26-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, 56-60, 61-66, 67 & up
WOMEN, 16-23, 24-30, 31-37, 38-45, 46-50, 51-60, 61 & up
Teams (Cumulative ages), 67 years or less (Junior), 68-103 years (Senior), 104 or more (Master)
AWARDS
The overall top male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in each age division, will receive a trophy or plaque. Results will be posted on our website and sent by email.
General Information
Biathletes must use helmets. All participants shall provide their own equipment and are responsible for their equipment at all times. Bike racks will be placed at the transition area of the race. All racers must use caution in high risk areas and situations including, but not limited to, the run and bike ride, during which participants may encounter motor vehicles, pedestrians, dogs and/or adverse road conditions.
