Description

Join us on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Bolingbrook, IL for the inaugural Piyesta Pinoy Bayani (Hero) 5K (Run, Ruck, Walk).
The Piyesta Pinoy Bayani 5K will also be held to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Bataan Death March and to honor the Filipino and American service members who sacrificed their lives during this tragic moment in Filipino-American history.
The race will be held during the 4th Annual Piyesta Pinoy (“Philippine Festival”) celebration, the largest Filipino-American event in the Chicago area which attracts thousands of visitors across the Midwest. This is an annual event which showcases Filipino talents, vendors, traditional food and games, and cultural exhibits.

Race Day Pricing - $50. June 10, 2017.

Piyesta Pinoy Bayani 5K- Ruck for Heroes
Ruck requires each participant (as individual or as part of a team) to carry:
-at least 20 lbs if weighing under 150 lbs
-at least 30 lbs if weighing over 150 lbs

5. Type in your team name
6. Finish the registration process
*The first person to sign up and create the team is the team captain*

3. Select "Group/Team"
4. Select "Join Existing Group/Team"
5. Select your team from the drop down
6. Finish the registration process

Registration Reminders
- Online Registration closes at 8:30 AM on June 10, 2017.
- You may register in-person on Race Day, June 10, 2017 from 7:30-8:30 AM.
- All registered participants will receive finishing medals and a souvenir race shirt.

If you wish to check a bag, please allow additional time for bag check and security.

T-Shirts, Medals and Awards
- All race registrants will receive running tech shirts 
- Medals will be provided for all finishers 
- Awards will be available to the following:
  -Top Male and Female (trophies)
  -Top Military Male and Female (trophies)
  -Top Individual Non-Military Ruck (trophy)
  -Top Individual Military Ruck (trophy)
  -Top Team: Non-Ruck (trophy)
  -Top Team: Ruck (trophy)
  -First place in each 10-year age group (merchandise)
*Top Non-Ruck Team Winner will be based on the average time of the first three finishers of each team.
*Top Ruck Team Winner will be based on the average time of the team. All members of the team must cross the finish line within 20 seconds of each other. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Any team finishing with less than three members will be disqualified from placing for a trophy.
