Rally For Ron will be going virtual this year. We realize we promised an in-person event but unfortunately we cannot do that safely and within the parameters provided by our Governor.
This year's Fall Fiesta will be held October 2-4 and YOU have the power to choose your favorite 5K (3.1 mile) running/walking route, the day, the time, and your preferred weather. Though our participants will not be able to all run together, we are still going to make it a great event to help families in need.
All participants registered by September 18 will receive a custom finisher medal with bottle opener, race shirt, and goody bag.
A virtual race can be run (or walked!) anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill.
Simply register for our Fall Fiesta, complete the distance anytime and anywhere you desire, and upload your finish time to our Run Sign Up Results page. We will mail you a finisher’s medal, t-shirt*, and goody bag.
We would love to celebrate your accomplishment with you! Please post a finisher selfie on our Facebook page
Rally For Ron was started in 2013 in honor of Ron Perez, who passed away suddenly at the age of 41. Ron was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his children.
Our first fundraiser in 2013 raised money for Ron's two young children. The amount of support our family received from the community was overwhelming. We spoke with our supporters and heard their stories about neighbors, friends, and family who also lost a parent. We discovered that 1 in 20 kids will experience the loss of one or more parents before the age of 17.
We decided to became a 501(c)(3) in order to help families like ours. Our mission is to offer one time financial assistance to families in the community with young children who have suddenly lost a parent. We understand that the heartache these families are experiencing will never go away but if we can reduce their worries about how to pay a couple bills then that will allow them time to mourn as a family.
Ron loved family above all else and we know he would have been honored to be a part of a cause that promoted family.
