7th Annual PCHA -Illinois Conquering Congenital Heart Disease Walk/Run

Join PCHA for the 7th Annual Conquering CHD Walk/Run Illinois!

The Pediatric Congenital Heart Association’s (PCHA) mission is to “Conquer Congenital Heart Disease.” We are accomplishing this through collaboration with patients, parents, providers, and partner organizations to improve quality and outcomes through CHD education, support, research, and awareness. Our volunteer team has supported local heart families in Illinois since 2011, through comfort care bags/kits, bereavement boxes, support meetings, family fun events, and so much more. PCHA-IL is run 100% by volunteer leaders that are heart parents, patients, and family members.

REGISTRATION:

• Registration is $15 (registration includes walk shirt if registered BEFORE April 1st)
• FREE walk/run for children under 18
• NEW Kid’s Dash (under 17) for $10 (includes PCHA Cape)
• Register online BEFORE April 1st to receive a FREE PCHA walk t-shirt. After April 1st you can purchase a walk shirt for $10. 

DETAILS:

• Strollers, wagons & motorized scooters are welcomed
• Dogs welcomed to join walk (don't forget your pet waste bags please)
• Walk shirts & personalized heart warrior lawn sign available for purchase at time of online registration (shirt pick-up at event registration table via Team Captain & lawn signs will be displayed at event and can be taken home at the end of the day)
• Parking: College Lot 3 is closest to the activity tents (near the College's Student Resource Center). Enter from the East College Road Street, just across from the soccer fields.

All are invited to join before & after the walk for festivities including: pictures, face painting, balloon making, crafts, special guest PCHA Mascot Echo, other characters/mascots, and more!

**Once around the college is just under 2 miles (runners before walkers)

Event Schedule

• 9:00am - Registration/Donation tent open (day-of registrants & Team Captain check in)
• 10:00am - Acknowledgements & Bereaved Hearts Remembrance
• 10:15am - Kid's Dash
• 10:45am - Run/Walk Begins
