ABOUT THE DAM SITE RUN... The Dam Site Run was created in 2020. It started as simply a rare opportunity to race that year when nearly every other race was cancelled. Turns out, the late October date meant perfect fall colors as the leaves started to fall around Lake Bloomington, creating the perfect backdrop for a fall race. The beauty of the fall colors at Lake Bloomington in late October is waiting for you!
THE TRADITION CONTINUES IN 2024! Certified course. Custom commemorative race bib with your name on it (if you register by October 1st). Post race food. Chip timed, with split times at 1/3 and 2/3 of the way. Awards. Finisher medal (optional). Awesome swag. And beautiful fall colors. Our goal is to give you your money's worth.
NO SINGLE USE PLASTICS ... We are challenging ourselves to put on an event with no single use plastics. No plastic water bottles, not even bottles of sports drinks. If we can put on an event and leave a more positive impact on our environment, we should, right?
