Event T-shirts are no longer available. Online registration will close at midnight on Thursday, September 19. In person registration is available at Packet Pickup on Friday, September 20th from 3-6 p.m. (1886 Daimler Rd., Rockford) and at the race on Saturday, September 21st from 7- 8:15 a.m.
The 15th Annual Thin Mint Sprint will be held at Harlem High School, in Machesney Park, Illinois. The event will feature an 8K Road Race, 2 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk. Both the 8K and 2 Mile Run will be chip-timed and are Rockford Road Runners Circuit Races. In honor of GSNI’s 10th Anniversary, join us for Finish Line Fun, a free post-race party for Thin Mint Sprint participants and their fans! This family-friendly event will include fun, hands-on activities for kids of all ages, entertainment, and a FREE Thin Mint Sprint segment to our 10th Anniversary fun patch for all Thin Mint Sprint Girl Scout participants! Register for Thin Mint Sprint, then, join us after the race in the gym and help get the party started!
Registration Fees: 8K Adults & Youth $35, 2 Mile Run $35.00 Adults, $15 Youth, $10 for Girl Scouts, 2 Mile Walk $15.00 Adults & Youth, $10 for Girl Scouts 18 & under. Rockford Road Runners receive a discount on the 8K. Online registration closes on Thursday, September 19th. Day of registration will be available.
Girl Scouts participate in the Faster Than Fiona Challenge. Lace up those running shoes! Could you be faster than Fiona? GSNI’s CEO, Fiona Cummings, has a ton of energy, and she’s always up for a challenge! Any Girl Scout (K-12) who finishes the 2-Mile Run faster than Fiona will receive a special edition patch commemorating the achievement, plus participate in a special meet-and-greet with Fiona at the finish line! Girl Scouts register for $10.
Fundraising Opportunity for Troops- Troops will receive 50% of what they raise!!! Simply register your troop as fundraisers, then share with your friends. Fundraising begins TODAY and ends the day of the race. Click here to START FUNDRAISING. Raise $100 and It's Free - When you raise $100 for Girl Scouts you will receive free registration, t-shirt and patch. (register for the Thin Mint Sprint and as a fundraiser. Your registration fees will automatically be refunded to you).
Online Registration will close at midnight on Thursday, September 19. Runners and walkers may still register as walk-ins on the day of the race!

Race Day Rules
• The race will be held rain or shine; please bring or wear weather-appropriate apparel. No refunds will be offered.
• There are NO DOGS ALLOWED on the event property or on the racecourse, even for race spectators. Please leave your pets at home – we love animals and do not want to see them trapped in a vehicle!
• No Strollers (nor wagons) will be allowed for participants and spectators because all racecourses are paved. No wagons, bikes, in-line skates, or any other unauthorized vehicle will be allowed on the racing trails. Bicycles, in-line skates and other wheeled vehicles will not be allowed on the racecourse. Wheelchairs are allowed.
• If your child is registered and you, as a parent or other guardian, are planning to walk/run with them, you must also register. Only registered participants will be allowed on the course for insurance purposes.
8K Run awards as follows: Top Male and Female Finisher. Top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
2 Mile Run awards as follows: Top Male and Female Finisher. Awards to top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
