Welcome to the Seventh Annual Run and Walk for Prostate Cancer Awareness, a 5K run and 3K walk on Sunday, September 10th, 2017. Registration opens at Chicago Prostate Cancer Center, 815 Pasquinelli Drive in Westmont at 7am and race start is 8am. The event is hosted by the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago and Chicago Prostate Cancer Center. Come meet special host, NBC5 news anchor, Dick Johnson!
The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promote prostate cancer awareness, early detection and funding patient support programs such as free prostate cancer screenings and prostate cancer support groups. The Foundation is committed to research and publishing studies based on their extensive database consisting of outcomes of over ten thousand prostate cancer patients.
Chicago Prostate Cancer Center was established in 1997 to provide patients with compassion, quality treatment, and expert opinions. They have consulted over 20,000 prostate cancer patients and they pride themselves on providing patients ethical and unbiased medical options.
We are excited for this event and to see former patients and those interested in promoting prostate cancer awareness! The event will consist of a 5K run and 3K walk beginning and ending at Chicago Prostate Cancer Center. All registered participants in the 5K will be timed and the three fastest runners for each age group male/female will be recognized with a medal or a ribbon. This is a fun event for kids of all ages. All registered participants will have the chance to win one of many gifts. There will also be raffles, auctions, and more! Don’t miss this day of celebration while we raise funds to educate and provide support for prostate cancer!
In celebration of Chicago Prostate Cancer Center's 20th Anniversary and helping over 20,000 men, we will be taking a patient group photo following the race. You do not need to register for the event to participate in this photo. After the race concludes, and before awards and raffle prizes are distributed, we will be taking a group photo of all of our patients that are present. We expect the time for the photo to take place at 9:30am. We hope you can join us for this special patient photo
