Description
Join us Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 9 a.m. for the 12th consecutive Hellbender Hustle 5K Run/Walk held at the Hickory Hollow Nature Center of O’Bannon Woods State Park in Corydon, Indiana. This race is part road, part trail, and is ALL fun for the entire family. Learn more about hellbenders, a 24 inch salamander, which makes it the largest in North America and how they are faring in nearby Blue River. By hosting this event, we hope to raise awareness for the hellbender and engage the community in its conservation. After crossing the finish line, hang around to enjoy the excellent refreshments that are a hallmark of this event and listen for your name to be drawn to take home a handcrafted award, designed and made exclusive for the Hellbender Hustle. Take in the Hickory Hollow Nature Center exhibits or just kick back and relax to the sounds of a local fiddle band. Bring the entire family for a morning of natural fun.
