EPD Foundation SWAT CHALLENGE GOES VIRTUAL!

We really wanted to have the SWAT Challenge this year, but we could not get around the obstacle of the Coronavirus. This obstacle was just too much to risk the safety of our officers and participants. We are offering a virtual race this year. Everyone who registers for the race will receive this year’s unique T-Shirt and on completion of a 5K course of your choice, you will also receive this year’s patch.

We recommend that you download the free Strava App on your smart phone to track your run and then email your screenshot on completion. Your run should be completed by the end of day on August 31st. Call 812-436-4030 if you have questions.

We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to a “normal” SWAT Challenge next year! All proceeds go to the support of the officers of the Evansville Police Department.

Here Are Your Options:

Virtual races happen all the time, and allow you to join the fun without the crowds. You simply run the distance on your own, and report your results - we’ll send you instructions.

You understand that events are expensive, even when cancelled, and you want us to keep your registration fees to help cover our costs. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

We understand you cannot make this new date, thank you for join us in 2021.

Description
The EPD SWAT Challenge is a fun, challenging 5K run with obstacles like walls, tires and climbing up a parking structure with a sandbag anywhere from 15-20 fun obstacles.
This event takes place on Saturday August 15, 2020, in Downtown Evansville.

Packet Pick is on Friday, August 14 from 12-5pm at the lobby of Old National Bank downtown on Main St.

There are 17 waves starting at 8am to the last wave at 12 noon, to spread out the participants over the 15 or more obstacles.
2019 was a big success with over 500 participants registered, ranging from 6 years old to seniors!
