The EPD SWAT Challenge is a fun, challenging 5K run with obstacles like walls, tires and climbing up a parking structure with a sandbag.
Takes place Saturday May 5, 2018, in Downtown Evansville.
2017 it was a big success with over 400 participants registered, ranging from 9 years old to seniors
About the EPD SWAT Team
Founded in 1975, the EPD SWAT team trains and prepares for missions involving barricaded gunmen, hostage rescue, high risk warrant service, active shooter response and more.
The team is on-call 24 hours a day and responds immediately to calls for service.
SWAT officers are selected from within the Evansville Police Department. Officers must serve a minimum of three years before they can apply for the team.
New this year, we will have team competitions. This will include a traveling trophy for each category!

10am - other
11am - high schools
