Sunburst Races is excited to offer a brand new event, Sunburst Races - Granger!
Race day is Sunday, August 8, 2021. Taking place on the paved path that encompasses the campus of Beacon Health & Fitness - Granger, this event offers a unique 1-mile distance. We are pleased to offer three distinct divisions:
- Timed Competitive Run (for those looking to achieve their personal best, those that wish to have their 1-mile professionally timed, or those that simply love the atmosphere of an organized race and just want to run)
- Timed Wheelchair Race (for those in any type of wheelchair that want to participate competitively or casually)
- Untimed Family Walk (for those that want to spend time together while enjoying the fresh air and getting exercise, without timing, age, or other typical race restrictions)
Sunburst Races - Granger is a small, all-inclusive, family-friendly, affordable, and easygoing event.
All participants that are registered by July 31st will receive a t-shirt and bib.
Packets will be available for pickup on Friday, August 6 from 1:00pm-3:00pm and Saturday, August 7 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Beacon Health & Fitness – Granger.
*Please Note: Registration will be open thru Saturday for LATE SIGN-UPS. However, you must sign up on your computer or smartphone prior to coming to registration and packet pick up. There will be NO ONSITE COMPUTERS
When entering the facility to pick up your packet (or to use the restrooms on race day), face masks are required, regardless of your vaccination status. Masks are not required outdoors but are required inside the facility; please plan accordingly. Packets will also be available outside at the Information Tent on race day. If you choose race day pickup, please arrive early.
As we continue to navigate the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is likely that we will be taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe. As race day approaches, detailed information will be shared. In collaboration with our Medical Director and Medical Advisory Board, we will closely monitor the situation and follow recommendations from both the St. Joseph County Health Department and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
