Catalina Island Trip

Community Recreation has organized a trip to Catalina Island! We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Catalina Island for one-night stay. The cost includes a one-night stay, and two (2) round trip Catalina Express Ferry tickets.  Our group will meet at the Dana Point Catalina Express ticket window at 11am.  

Ferry schedule:

Friday, May 10th- Depart Dana Point at 11:55am.  Arrive to Avalon around 1:30pm.  Hotel check in is 4pm. *There is a shuttle from the ferry landing to the hotel.  Baggage can be stored at the hotel until rooms become available*

Saturday, May 11th- Hotel check out is 11am.  Avalon Ferry departs at 2pm.  Arrive in Dana Point around 3:30pm. 

Baggage Guidelines Per Person
Two pieces of baggage.
50 lbs. maximum each bag.
23”x23”x37” maximum bag dimension.
One carry-on to be stowed at the seat.

Not included: meals, beverages, excursions, or overnight parking.

Catalina Express operates its ticketing and docking from the offices of Dana Wharf Sportfishing in beautiful Dana Point Harbor. This port is located just off the 5 Freeway and is convenient for travelers coming from San Diego or Orange County.

Parking
Park briefly in the short-term lot to purchase your tickets and parking pass for the long-term lot. For the sailings between June 17th and September 5th, allow an extra 30 minutes to move your car to long-term parking, and walk back or shuttle to the Catalina Express dock.
Parking is $14 per day
