Place

The race start and ends at the intersection of 3rd Street and Elk Avenue in Crested Butte, Colorado. The race heads east two blocks, takes a left on 5th Street, then after one block, right on Maroon Avenue. The race then cuts right through Totem Pole Park, running over the bridge over Coal Creek. It heads north on 3rd Street then turns left on Butte Avenue. After a few blocks, the pavement turns into a dirt road which leads to Peanut Lake. This is when the hills of the course are mainly located. A gradual uphill guides to the turnaround point and after flipping around, running back down the gradual hills, the course pops back out onto Butte Avenue and then takes a right onto 1st Street. One last hill up 1st Street and a left on Elk Avenue with a slight downhill finish!
