Description

This year has been a doozy. And it's cold outside. But in April, it might not be. Spring is a great time to walk with your family and friends, so join us VIRTUALLY as we walk with purpose!

All funds raised from this year’s walk will benefit Brennen School. Brennen School is a public school program for students with autism within the Christina School District. The program provides educational services to students with autism between 2 and 21 years of age. They emphasize direct teaching in community and natural environments, guided by the techniques of applied behavior analysis. Last year, the pandemic affected their ability to give their graduates a proper celebration. This year, we're hoping to raise enough money so that all 15 graduates can take pride in their accomplishments. All funds raised will still go to the school, because this pandemic is still far from over, and many challenges may still arise.

Charity Crossing UD will be hosting an April 5K Virtual Challenge. Participants will reach out to sponsors and pledge to run/walk a 5K every $5 donated through them. Participants will log their total distance and compete to see who can cover the most ground before the live event on April 24th. Every day, every kilometer, the impact grows. So get to it!

Not your cup of tea? How about joining us for a 5K Virtual Live-Stream! On April 25th, the Charity Crossing Executive Board will be hosting a Virtual 5K Party for you to get your move on and your groove on! Whether you're walking or running, join us between 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to support the Brennan School.

Are you competitive! Then for $5 admission, submit your time against other competitors for a place on our leaderboard. We'll crown a top 5 for each age group as well as an overall leaderboard. Winners will receive a Charity Crossing T-Shirt and will have their name posted on our leaderboard, solidifying their bragging rights for the entire year.

Lastly, Charity Crossing of Delaware will be hosting an in-person walk at Glasgow Park on Saturday, April 24th. The larger CC organization will be taking the lead with this to accommodate UD's current and ever-changing policies on in-person activities. For those of you who'd like to show your support in person while maintaining social distance, we welcome you to register for this event and our other events. Only those who register for the event will be able to attend.
