LECOM 5k

Join us on the beautiful downtown Bradenton Riverwalk to run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles) course. The 5K will take runners and walkers across the Green Bridge and back to finish along the Bradenton Riverwalk.  All proceeds from this event will be contributed to the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund, helping to defray the educational costs of our future healthcare providers from LECOM.

LECOM encourages an active lifestyle and what better way than to get our community together for a celebration of health and fitness and participate in a 5K run/walk event.

The 5K race will start promptly at 8:30 am (please note: the 5K is walker-friendly). Runners and walkers can help themselves to a post-race breakfast provided by our wonderful sponsors while they cool down and wait for the announcement of the winners of each division.  As you cross the finish line you will be immersed in the events of the Bradenton Area River Regatta.  

There will be LECOM volunteers spread throughout the course to direct participants along with a water station at the 1.5-mile mark.

Register- online by Jan 19 to be guaranteed a shirt on race day.

Friday 02/16/24 in the parking lot of the LECOM Medical School from 4:00-7:00 PM.  5000 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. Bradenton, FL 34211

Saturday 2/17/24: The table will be located near the start/finish line on race day.

Registration Fees:5K Run- $30 through October 7th; $35 through December 7th; $40 through Feb 7;$45 through Feb 17; $50 race day registration. 

Registration Fees:5K Walk - $30

Virtual Run/Walk: $39 and includes shipping within the United States.

Awards:
Top overall male and female, Top GRANDMASTER male and female, First person overall 1-mile walk,  & Also, 5-year age group awards for first, second, and third place (male and females) <14 15-19, 5 years up to 75>.

Parking:
Participants should park in the Manatee County Public Parking Garage located at the corner of Manatee Ave W & 10th St W.
