Park opens 6:30 am - main drive will be closed at 7:55 am until approximately 9 am
Place: Oscar Scherer State Park, 1843 S. Tamiami Trail (US41), Osprey, FL 34229
Race day registration & packet pick up: 6:45 am to 7:45 am
Start times: 5k run @ 8:00 am; 10K run @ 8:15 am

Course: Mostly packed sand and grass through the park’s rare, scrubby flatwoods,
with a stretch on the paved Legacy Trail and a finisher's village in the park
Amenities & goodies: Chip timing. Tech-tee race shirt guaranteed to those registered by 1/22/2018,
Water stations, Guides, Post-race refreshments, and lots of Door Prizes.
Six deep awards in all groups: Overall, Master, Grand Master,
Senior Grand Master, and Veteran Grand Master.

Fees before 02/01/2018: 13 & under - FREE (must still register) • Ages 14 to 18 - $15
Ages 19 & over - $30 • Friends of Oscar Scherer,  Zoomers Members - $25
Fees after 02/01/2018: Everyone - $35
Day of Race: Everyone - $40

Registration fees are non-refundable and not transferable.

Register by mail: Forms must be mailed to Friends of Oscar Scherer Park, Inc.; 1843 S. Tamiami Trail;
Osprey FL 34229 and received by 1/22/2018

Registration: Bibs and numbers will be assigned according to race; if you change, you MUST let us know so
we can reissue bibs and numbers to ensure correct results.
Sponsorship and donations: The cost of this event is covered by the support of our loyal sponsors and a
generous grant from Lee Wetherington Foundation, a Supporting Organization of the Community Foundation of
Sarasota County, Inc.
Benefit: 100% of entrance fees and vendor contributions benefit the Friends of Oscar Scherer Park Inc and the
Florida Scrub-Jay.
Friends of Oscar Scherer Park Inc: Support the park through charitable, scientific, literary and educational
functions, and through programs, activities, and fundraising to foster awareness of its importance as an environmental
and recreational asset and to assist in conserving its natural and cultural resources.
