CELEBRATING TEN YEARS OF DASH FOR THE DOGS!!
Animal House Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill shelter in Huntley, IL. Dash for the Dogs allows us to raise funds necessary to cover the cost of our animals’ medical expenses and overall care.
Due to COVID, we are no longer able to have the Dash for Dogs as an in person event. We are extremely disappointed, but we believe in safety first. Thank you for being so patient and understanding with the date change and now going virtual.
As with a typical virtual race, you can run or walk at whatever location and time that suits you. We are asking that you complete your 5k (3.1 miles) between August 30th - September 7th. BEFORE YOU RUN/WALK, please download the app on your phone - WoofTrax. WoofTrax is an app that logs your distance and time while donating to an animal shelter. This app can even be used after the race for any other walks or runs you do! Once you download the app, enter your information, choose Animal House Shelter as your chosen charity. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR PHONE WITH YOU ON YOUR RUN/WALK TO LOG YOUR DASH FOR THE DOG 5K time. AFTER YOU RUN/WALK, send a screenshot of your time to brittany@animalhouseshelter.com. This will qualify you for our top finisher prizes. Please have your times sent in by September 7th!!! Winners will be announced September 10th.

About Animal Rescue
For every animal we rescue, there are hundreds more that we have to turn away due to limited space and resources. Each year, about 7.3 million dogs and cats enter animal shelters nationwide and another 2.7 million are euthanized. That’s 7,397 dogs and cats being euthanized each day! We can do more with your help. Please help Animal House Shelter continue to save the lives of so many homeless animals.
