It is with Great Sadness that we announce the 2020 Mountain Heritage Festival 5k will be cancelled. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and based on the recommendations of the Health Department after consultation from Kevin Nickels as well as Discussions with Mayor Craft we are very sad to say that we have made the decision to cancel this year’s festival. This is not a decision that was taken lightly, but with everyone's best interest at heart. Our Event is a Gathering for so many we could not in good conscience put our community at risk by holding the festival. We are looking forward to reuniting with you for the 2021 Mountain Heritage Festival. We wish each of you have continued good health. Thank You for your support of the Mountain Heritage Festival Committee.

Description
Join us for the 2020 Mountain Heritage Festival 5k! This years race will be a patriotic themed glow run, so be sure to stock up on your red, white and blue gear! The race will take place on Saturday, September 19th at 7:30pm. We will begin at the Letcher County Recreational Center in town and the course will be marked. Awards will be given to 1st and 2nd place overall. We encourage you to dress in as much red, white, and blue as possible, as there will be a best costume award! We can’t wait to see you!
Please note that the cut off date to receive a t-shirt is Monday, August 31.
