6 hour challenge
Race Description
Join us on Saturday, June 13th from 10AM to 4PM at Adams Farm in Walpole for the second annual Run for Help, we will again be supporting the Jones family as Dave continues his battle with cancer.
The course is a 1-kilometer trail loop on double track and fire road, flat, friendly, and open to all abilities. Runners and walkers will have 6 hours to complete as many loops as they can. Some will push for big numbers, others will enjoy a few loops with the family. Every kilometer counts.
Registration is $35 and includes your race bib and T-shirt. Your shirt doubles as your lap tracker, volunteers will tally your loops right on the back, so you'll wear your effort home. Hit a milestone and earn a medal: complete a half marathon (21 loops), full marathon (42 loops), or ultra (50 loops). Medals are awarded for your highest milestone reached.
This is a cupless race, so bring your own water bottle or hydration pack. Water and electrolytes will be available at the aid station.
Want to go further? Collect pledges from friends and family per loop completed (just like the Pushup Challenge), and turn every kilometer into real impact.
Important note: Unlike last year, Run for Help is not tied to graduation this year. All participants, including current students, must register separately.
Come out, move your feet, and help us make a difference, together.
FAQ's and important information.
The run begins at 10:00 AM and goes until 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 13th.
Nope! You can show up whenever works for you, leave and come back, and still complete laps. It's a personal challenge — run at your own pace and on your own schedule.
You can pick up at IMPACT Martial Arts (419 High Plain St, Walpole, MA 02081) on Friday, June 12th from 6:30–8:00 PM. If you can't make it Friday, head to the Registration table in the barn on Saturday and they'll get you set up.
Parking is at Adams Farm. Space is limited — we don't have access to the large field this year — so please carpool if you can. Parking attendants will be on hand all day to help direct traffic.
A water bottle or cup (we're going cupless this year!), sunscreen, bug spray, a packed lunch or snacks, and layers if you're arriving early.
The aid station will be fully stocked with snacks and fuel throughout the day. There won't be a grill this year, so pack a lunch if you'd like a full meal. There's plenty of space to sit and eat under the pavilion or in the grass.
Yes, water and electrolyte beverages will be available at the aid station all day. Just bring your own cup or bottle to fill up.
This year's course is a 1-kilometer loop, relatively flat with about 29 feet of gain per lap and one rocky section. It's mostly wide and runnable, and directional signs will be posted throughout.
Medals are awarded for half marathon (21 laps), full marathon (42 laps), and ultra marathon (50 laps). When you're done for the day, find Mike and he'll hand it over.
Absolutely, volunteers are always welcome, even for part of the day. There's a link in the navigation above.
All of it.
